Glorious Transition of our Diocesan

We sincerely appreciate each and everyone of us for our wonderful support towards giving our departed Diocesan a befitting farewell. All events were very successful. Please continue to pray that the Lord Himself will select for us in the Diocese of Lagos a successor after His own heart. Power for the Month

A three Day Morning Prayer meeting on all the first three days of the month tagged Power for the Month. The next one holds from Saturday 1st April to Monday 3rd April, 2023

Diocesan Healing and Charismatic Service

Holds every first Sunday of the Month at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina Lagos. You need to be there to receive your healing in every area and testify to the faithfulness of God.

Lagos Diocesan Music School

The school has been opened for the training of all those who are interested in music. It offers all categories of training ranging from voice to instrumentals. Please avail yourself and your children/Ward of this opportunity to available with the Administrative Manager.

Appeal for Support for the Purchase of Land for Anglican Church on the Rock, Gbetu

Our newly planted church in Gbetu Community has been able to identify two plots of land which would serve for the future expansion of the Church. Cost is ten million naira (N10m). Any assistance in this regard will be greatly appreciated. The Revd Daniel Ubeh has already spent personal fund to build a beautiful Church estimated at over twenty million naira (N20M).

2023 Annual Vestry Meeting:

On Sunday, 26th February, 2023 was our annual Vestry meeting. I appreciate all those who was part of the meeting and also congratulate the below listed Parishioners who were elected or appointed to serve the Church for the year 2023/2024. I pray that they will all be daily endued with wisdom from above to take the work of God higher on a daily basis. They were all sworn in on the 5th of March 2023 during the service. 2023 Governorship and States House of Assembly Elections

We thank God for the peaceful conduct of the election for the President and members of the National Assembly in our nation. We congratulate all those who have been elected and pray that our ever faithful God will use them for His purpose even without themselves and that our Country Nigeria will be great and mighty again. As we prepare for the Governorship and States Houses of Assemblies elections next Saturday 11th March 2023 please don’t cease to pray for those to occupy these very important positions that have direct impact on the lowest of the citizens. As the Lord liveth only those prepared by Him will get to power.

Daily Holy Communion Services

One Day Synod in the Diocese

There will be a One Day Synod for the purpose of filling vacant statutory positions in the Diocese on Tuesday 21st march 2023. Please continue to pray for our Delegates and other Delegates that God will use them to actualise His purpose upon our Diocese.

Lenten Season

There will be Lenten service every Wednesday and exchange of pulpit within the Archdeaconry. Please prayerfully undertake a glorious and blessings filled Lenten season. Ask especially for the power to forgive all in obedience to the Word of God. There will be daily Bible study in the Church and at all designated Centres throughout the Lenten season.

Parish Bible Study:

Our Bible Study holds virtually on Thursdays at 7.30 pm. Please keep the date in mind and be a part of the study. The Word of God alone will grant us good success. Please make sure that you don’t miss it. Click here to join

Appointment of a supervisory Bishop for the Diocese of Lagos

As a result of the unfortunate passage of the Diocesan and Missioner, His Grace The Most Revd Dr. Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye and in accordance with the constitution of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) the Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace The Most Revd Dr. Henry Chukwudum has appointed The Rt. Revd James Olusola Odedeji, Ph.D the Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West as the supervisory Bishop for the Diocese of Lagos with effect from 2nd November 2022 to the enthronement of a substantive Bishop for the Diocese. Please continue to remember Bishop and Dr. Mrs. Lydia Odedeji in your prayers as they discharge this onerous responsibility to the glory of God.

Wednesdays Prayer Meetings

We have recommenced our weekly Parish Prayer meetings on Wednesdays at 5.00 pm. All of us are encouraged to be a part of this very important aspect of our Christian life as a prayerless Christian will always be a powerless Christian and God has already promised that if we in one accord shall agree concerning anything, He will do it for us.

Membership Registration

An appeal is being made to all our members that are yet to register to please ensure that they do so to assist the clergy in including them and their family in the Intercession list. We owe it a responsibility to uphold every single soul entrusted to our care in prayer. Please make our task possible by registering your name and that of your family. Thank you and God bless. Intercession for Businesses

Owners of businesses in the Church are requested to register the name of their businesses with the Vicar’s Secretary or directly with the Vicar via WhatsApp as we have started weekly intercession for businesses. Click here to register your Business

Family Harvest

This is an instruction from the Lord and an act of demonstrating our faithfulness to God. Please carefully prepare for it and avoid results like what Cain and Esau had. Read Gen. 18:19; Micah 6:6 and Eph. 3:14-15. It will now hold all year round. Please feel free to indicate a convenient date for your family. Secondary School Scholarship Support

By the grace of God and through the kind donation of some children of God we have been sponsoring some secondary school students particularly in our Diocesan schools. The funds have now been depleted and we are earnestly appealing to well meaning parishioners to please donate generously to replenish the funds. We appreciate very sincerely the child of God who donated towards this last week. May she and her entire family experience God’s presence in a unique way throughout the year 2023. Altar Servers’ Training

This is to inform members and those interested that the training comes up every Saturday at 8am. A recommencement date will be duly communicated.

Home Visitation

If you know any old member that may require visitation at home, please inform any of the Clergy. The Evangelical team is already visiting all our elders.

Pray for Global Peace

Pray that there will be a Divine intervention in all the troubled spots of the world and that the situations will not further escalate. Pray also for Nigeria especially as the political landscape become more and more active, that only God’s will, will be done.
