Guild of Stewards

The Guild of Stewards is a thriving ministry in ANCOPEN.

Its responsibilities include:

• distributing prayer/hymn books, programmes and other materials prior to and in the course of a service
• Receiving the congregation and visitors and ensuring their comfort and wellbeing
• Receiving and recording offerings
• Guiding the congregation for Communion, Thanksgiving and other activities in the course of a service
• Maintaining order during the services and assisting the clergy and
• Executing any other task as may be assigned by the clergy or wardens.

Members of the Guild of Stewards are also members of the Lagos Anglican Diocesan Guild of Stewards. Our activities are directed by our motto “In the service of God”. as we believe that our service is to God, not man and endeavour with the help of the Holy Spirit, to offer acceptable service to God and satisfactorily execute our duties in His Church.
